I am a photographic artist whose creative practice is rooted in experimentation with film and camera-less photography. Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of influences, my work spans the abstract visual language of painters such as Gerhard Richter and Mark Rothko to the more personal, narrative-driven projects associated with Nan Goldin and Duane Michals.
My projects are consistently anchored in the everyday, underpinned by a search for something beyond the ordinary, a sense of magic hidden within the fabric of daily existence. This quest can manifest as a pursuit of the spiritual or a desire for a more tangible, earthly connection.
A central theme in my work is the attempt to elevate the physical world, or conversely, to render the intangible into something perceptible and real. This creative pursuit is manifested from my “otherness” growing up and a desire for connection.
